FORTUNA

Schooner – Captain Sydney Bate. (Details LARN) – Scuttled using charges by a German Submarine, 15 miles SSW Portland. Cargo METALS (Ferrous). Survivors saved by sailing vessel IOANNA, and landed at Plymouth. Same submarine was reported to have sunk a sailing barge called IRO, where not reported. Refs.
