THERESA of Weymouth

Times: Monday, February 12, 1883, Issue 30741 – “The Theresa of Weymouth (Schooner) Captain J. Hibley from Guernsey for London with granite (Guernsey Granite)? struck on a sand bank off Worthing on Saturday evening. The crew consisting of the captain, two men and a boy were rescued by the National Institution lifeboat amid a scene of great excitement. The schooner left Guernsey on Thursday, and in a few hours encountered the full force gale. She has become a total wreck.” Ship Incident of a Local Vessel
