Armed Steamship [55M] – Cargo COAL. (Detail in LARN) – Torpedoed and sunk by German Submarine U-55, 9 miles SE by S of Beer Head. Also mentioned in Clarke: but he thinks the wreck at GPS; 50 23.53N; 02 53.74W is the NYASALAND. Four crew were killed and one died of exposure.
