French Brig – Captain Gerrel. Cargo, Hardwood. (LARN) – She was guided to beach at the rear of Chesil Village. Hundred came out to watch. One man died but the rest were saved when ropes were got on to the wreck. All loose tackle, masts, anchors and spars were saved along with some stores. – Chesil Cove.
